BITR8’s Best EPs of 2012: No. 10 :- Shadow Child / Hot Since 82 – Knee Deep In Louise / So High Remixes

Shadow Child, Hot Since 82Kicking off the Top 10 Eps of 2012 is the collaborative EP between Shadow Child and Hot Since 82 – or Dave Spoon and Daley Padley. When this EP was originally reviewed it was described as:

Both British artists have contributed a song and each have remixed the others. Both artists are doing what they do best, creating massive deep house music perfect for a night at the Boiler Room.

All songs have the elements we’ve come to expect from these two: big crash cymbals, heavy thudding staccato bass line and consistent claps. A simple combination combined with a masterful use of vocal samples make this an all-round brilliant EP.

Everything originally mentioned stands true and this EP has, over countless listens, just got better and better with both variations of both songs contributing an aspect of the abilities that these two brilliant producers have.
